Window Balances 20"

Question

We are replacing some 20" window balances and trying to determine the proper balance to use.  Non tilt vinyl windows installed in 1997.  Balances have identifiers 19 4 DS Caldwell if that helps identify the product.  Thanks

Hey there,

This balance can be replaced with either the S380-20 or the S385-20. You'll need to confirm the shoe's depth to determine which of these is the correct replacement. Take a look at the diagram below for reference.

I believe you'll need the 1940 stamp option but it is strongly advised to double check that the sash weight falls between 14 to 17lbs.
