Window Balances

Thanks for posting! I am confident we can supply you with the replacements you'll need for these balances; although, there are few details I'll need to confirm before I can make a recommendation.

To start, can you confirm whether or not your balances have a plain channel versus a ribbed channel? I'll also need to confirm the top of the balance is anchored to the window channel; does it screw in or does it attach using a rivet and a clip?

The last piece of information I'll need is the exact weight of each of the windows these balances would be installed in.

Thanks for confirming this information. Your replacement balances will need to be custom assemblies. We'll need to configure your balances to have a plain channel, like the one used for the Series 770 Channel Balance along with the 15-014 knife lock shoe.

It looks like you've sent a photo of the bottom of the balance where the shoe would attach. I am inquiring about how the balances install to the top of the window channel. The Series 770 has a mounting screw way that helps to support the balance channel when screwed in at the top of the window; however, there are some instances where a rivet might be required if the balance is attached using a clip. 

I can use the stamps you have here to quote you for the custom assemblies, but it would be a good idea to double check and confirm that the weight ranges the stamps can hold will be what you need for the repairs. Custom balances are non-refundable and cannot be returned. 

The weight ranges are as follows:

• 27" balance - 27D Stamp option, 22 to 26lbs
• 23" balance - 23D Stamp option, 21 to 24lbs
• 29" balance - 29C Stamp option, 18 to 23lbs
