Window Block and Tackle Balance

i need a replacement pair for my spring-loaded B&T window balances.  The markings on it read:  27 4 IX CMC 11The metal length is 28" the plastic length is 30"5/8" wide and just under that deep

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you, but the stamp code only indicates the strength of the spring. If you could show us the connecting point between the spring and pulley inside the metal channel of a balance removed from the window, as well as both end fittings, that would help us confirm if our stock balances could work for your repair or if they would need to be special ordered. These are the photos we needed, but it looks like the wings from the top fitting may be broken off. I'd suggest checking the balances in an identical window to confirm if the top and bottom fittings are both winged. 

If so, you could have either the S378-28, S380-28, or S385-28 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. 

You'll also need 2740 spring strength options for your replacement balances. Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
