I'm looking to determine the correct weight rating for my window channel balance, and would like assistance assessing whether it needs to be replaced based on the bent wheel that guides the nylon rope.
The metal rod is 28" in length with a 1-3/32" bottom fitting. There is also a metal stamping that reads "27-5."
Could you provide guidance on whether the balance should be replaced given the bent appearance of the wheel, and if so, which replacement part would be most appropriate as well as the weight capacity it supports? Thank you!

Thanks for posting! Your window balances can likely be replaced with the S385-28 balance. I believe our 2750 stamp will work in place of your 27-5 stamp. A pair of these will support a sash weighing between 26 to 30lbs. You'll need to weigh the sash (window) to determine if it falls between this range.
Be sure to double check the depth of the shoe to confirm that this is the right series.
