Window Counter Balances

Question

I am having trouble trying to find this replacement part.  It screws in on the top and has this plastic part on the bottom where a pin on the sash goes in.  I can't get the piece out of the jamb so I hope I can figure out how to get the new one in.  It is marked with 32-3 and it is a 33 inch balance

Thanks for writing in. This looks like a Series 795 Channel Balance. Confirm the length of the metal channel, not including the bottom attachment, to confirm the length. Once you know what length to select, you must choose a stamp option. It will likely be best to weigh your window sash to determine this. You can then match that exact weight with one of the weight ranges listed alongside the stamp options on the balance product page. You will also need to determine if your old balance's bottom attachment, the T-Lock shoe, matches the T-Lock shoe that comes fitted with our Series 795 (the 15-195). If it differs, you will need to buy a separate shoe and swap it out. See the videos below for details on installation as well as the T-Lock shoe.
