Window Needing 15-046 Pivot Shoe Replacement

I have Patriot Windows used in a new Ryan Homes built home from 1999. I bought Pivot Shoe 15-046 for these but do not understand how to get the old one out and out the new one in. I looked at your videos and seem to find information on how to cut vinyl etc but it does not seem to apply to my particular window.

Thanks for writing in! The cutout method should still work for removing these shoes, as shown in the video. You'll just need to remove that balance cover in the window before you can proceed with the steps as we described.

Removing these balance covers can be tricky since they are rigid vinyl however, it should be fairly easy. You kind of just have to squeeze them in and pry them out of the window channel to expose the balance.

Once the cover is removed, the rest of the project should proceed as detailed in the video you viewed.
