Window Spring Balance Replacement

Quick Learner from Las Cruces, New Mexico
My window is a vinyl tiltin model abour 20 years old. Manufacturer unknown, Spring balance length is 27 inches. There is a hook at the top of the balance and a square hole at the bottom that rotates with the window base.
I am seeking two new compatible spring balances.with fittings.

Thanks for reaching out! This balance is likely to be the Series 795 Channel Balance. Although, to ensure we are providing you with the correct replacements, I'll need to see a clearer photo of the bottom shoe to confirm the exact replacement needed.

Please also confirm the stamp/marking from the metal channel and the shape of the hole that the hook installs in.

Don't hesitate to reach out with any additional questions!

Hello, The stamp on the balance says 27B.
I have attached a photo of the bottom shoe of the balance and a photo of the hole in the window frame where the hook is inserted. The hook is 1/4" wide, and the hole measures about 5/16" by 5/16"
Thank you.

Thanks for confirming. You'll need the S795-27 with a 27B stamp (supports sashes weighing 11 to 17lbs) to replace your balances. The balances will come with a 15-195 1-1/4" closed cam shoe attached.

Since the installation hole at the top is square, you should be able to use the 26-200 Balance Screw Plug to install the balances. Take a look at the tutorial below for reference.
