Hello there! Thanks for reaching out to us. We can help with this though it must be a custom order as your balance appears to use the 15-233 shoe. Can you confirm how your balance installs at the top of the track? How many balances are you looking to replace?
As for removal, it's possible that your balances were dropped into the jamb from the top when the window was installed. You may be able to pull the jamb out after you've removed both the top and bottom sashes. Removing the header may also be necessary, though less likely.
Some windows aren't made to be repaired. The window manufacturer would rather you buy a new window than just one small repair part. In your case, that means that partial disassembly of the window frame like I mentioned may be required. If you aren't comfortable with that kind of project, you may want the assistance of a local professional, just to be safe.
The video below shows how to remove the shoe but your window appears to be different so you may have to disassemble the frame as explained above.
Can you also confirm the length of the metal channel, as well as the depth and width? I apologize for not asking before, we just be thorough as custom orders are nonrefundable.
We don't recommend the cut-out method for this repair. You must remove the jamb liner to remove the shoe. If you're not comfortable doing so, we suggest consulting a local professional for assistance.
I'll go ahead and email you a purchase link and price quote for (2) S751-29 balances with the 28TG stamp and 15-233 shoe that you can use to place an order on our website. Please note that the S-clips are not included. If you need new ones, see if the 19-029 match up with your old clip.
Hello! We do have a version of the S751 with a smaller ribbed channel we can supply via custom order. However, our width and depth are more precise. I've attached the dimensions below. I'm afraid I can't promise this will work for you if they differ. Custom orders are nonrefundable as well so that's something to keep in mind. Would this still be something you're interested in?
I also see you told my colleague, Christian, that the blue shoes on the new balance match the old one and the extra ones are too big. I assume you were referring to the 15-233 but please correct me if I'm wrong!
I looked over your initial photos of the old knife lock shoe and while it is hard to be certain since it's installed, I wonder if you could have the "smaller" version of the 15-233 that we've seen in the past. We've had mixed reviews of customers reporting the 15-233 and 15-014 can replace the "smaller" shoe so I can't say exactly which one would work for you, unfortunately.
Please let me know if you'd still like to go the custom route and which knife lock shoe you want to go with and I can get the ball rolling on this.
