Metal is 28" long. No clips in vinyl windows frame, just string attached with screw. Single hung, tilt

Hello! Your balance appears to be an older version of our Series 795. While the design is a little different I still think this will work perfectly well in your window. Look it over and see what you think.

Awesome, thanks much! How can I tell which weight option to use?

There's a very good chance your weight option will be our 28C, but I always like to weigh the sash just to be 100% sure. Most of the time they line up, but when it comes to these older style balances I wouldn't trust it. I've been burned before.

As long as your sash falls in the 18 through 23 pound range supported by the 28C stamp then it will work perfectly fine for you.
