Thanks for you post! The coil balance you have here is assembled with the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot with the 15-086 Tandem Coil Housing attached to the top. Both of these are compatible with the Series 180 Coil Balance.

To determine the coil springs needed to complete the assembly, you'll need to check for any stamps/markings on the coils. If there aren't any, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of your sash and divide that number by four (the total number of coils in the window). For example, if the sash comes out to be 24lbs, you would need (4) 6lb coils.

Many thanks
Do you have a video that explains how to remove a sash with the Coil Housing Pivot on the picture?

We do not have a video dedicated specifically to this balance system but removing it would require the same process as one of our other pivot shoes.

That said, take a look at the video tutorials that were tagged below. Each of them shows two different methods for removing pivot shoes/pivot shoe assemblies.

Making progress!

The eight of the sash is 19 pounds. I believe I must take the Coil Balance for 5Lbs.

So I need, 2 * 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot + 2 * 15-086 Tandem Coil Housing + 4 * S180-05 (5 lbs Series 180 Coil Balance) - is that correct?

Okay, great!

Yes, I would suggest using the 5lb coils for this setup. The quantity of each of the parts is correct for what you'd need to complete your assemblies.

Although, you also have the option of using just (2) of the S180-10, which would mean the you would only need the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot.
