Product Description

This is a Series 180 stainless steel spring for tilt-in windows. It moderates the operation of your window sash using a specifically calibrated coil spring that allows the window to stay open when raised and remain shut when closed.

Individually, this coil balance can hold 5 pounds. This is added together with the other coils to support the whole weight of the sash.
The weight you need should be indicated as a stamp or imprint on your old spring.
Measures 15/32" wide x 40" long.
Designed to work with the 15-087, Pivot Housing (sold separately).
This coil balance spring is sold individually, not in sets.
Can work for either the left or right side of the window interchangeably.
Coil balances are also known as constant force window balances.

Good Idea!

For best results, replace window balances in pairs (though sold individually). An old balance will overwork a new one, causing faster wear and uneven operation. Paired replacement ensures optimal, lasting performance.

I need two of the following: pivot shoe, coil balance, and support. As you can see in the provided photo of the manufacturer label, it appears to be a B50 Series (American Craftsman) window. Hello, I'm trying to identify what parts I need to repair my window. Both housing pivot and tandem housing have Pat #5,353,548 stamped on them and both balance coils have 5# stamp on them. Coil Balancers on Accent windows.

The 3 coils are marked 2 are 6z and 1 is 5z. The plastic housing is shattered. I will need the comple unit for both sides of the window. Also need instructions on how to remove and install.Pat

Help with Gorell balance

This window has been a pain for me. The window did not stay up. I tried replacing the balance earlier this year by going to a local window store.
