Window balance

Question

I need to replace this window balance.  I will need both sides.  There are two coils that have a screw going through them to secure it to the window. The coils stay in place and the pivot pin moves up and down. This is a tilt window about 24 years old.

Your shoe reminds me of the 15-177 Coil Balance Shoe. To confirm that this is the right replacement, compare the specifications below.

You'll need the 1/2" wide Series 152 Coil Balance to replace the coils. They are attached to the shoe using the 33-072 screw. To select the correct coil weight option, you'll need to look for a stamp/marking on the existing coils. If there are none, please see the tutorial tagged below.

If you cannot reuse the existing coil supports (covers), you'll need the 15-143 Coil Bushing, 15-144 Coil Bushing Cap, and 15-145 Coil Support Barrel.
