Window balance

A quick learner from California says:
Not sure if I need 380 or 385 balances. Existing balances have 2540 stamped in the frame.

Frame lengths are 26".

Thanks!

Tom from SWISCO responded:
You need a 26" balance with a 2540 stamp option. To tell the difference between a Series 380 and a Series 385, measure the bottom plastic shoe as shown at the bottom of this post. If the shoe measures 1", choose an S380-26. If it measures closer to 1-3/32", choose our S385-26.
