the wound support has a plastic sheath, very brittle and gray. the bottom of the balancer has a hinged flat metal plate that tacks on the underside of the window. I have no idea what type, brand, or vintage this window is.
There is a hole at the top of the grey round part where a nail is holding it in place.

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to see photos of your balance assembly removed from the window, along with any other parts that you may need to compare to our inventory.
