Thanks for reaching out to us! Your old rod-type balance isn't made anymore but our Series 770 can work as a replacement. You'll just need to measure your old balance and weigh your sash on a scale to determine the length and spring strength option you'll need. There's a chart under the product description on the S770 product page that will tell you what the correct option is based on your sash weight.

As for the pivot shoe, take a look at the 15-152. Review the specifications and see if this matches up with what you need.

The spring is 13 inches the rod is 11 inches and the sash weighs 21.6 lbs. Hopefully we are still connected.

To determine the length, you don't want to measure just the rod. You'll want to measure an undamaged balance as shown below. Once you determine the proper length, you can then move on to picking the correct strength option.

The length of the rod and spring in place is 26 inches

Great! That would be the S770-26, then. I feel confident that this is the balance you want.

Please feel free to reach out if you had any other questions. We're always here to help.

I will need two balances and two pivot shoes. I see a picture of a pivot shoe, is that the one I need? 15-152 ? Now i need to figure out how to place my order? Thank you!

Yes, the 15-152 resembles your old shoe but we recommend you compare the specifications just to be sure they align. You can either place an order on our website or by calling our customer service team at (888) 991-1929!
