Window balances

Question

The pictures show two different size but same kind the small one has a spring 12.5 long with a plastic tube inside that is 29 in long  with black shoe the other has a spring 19 in long and tube inside 35 1/4 long with yellow shoe. Thanks

Thanks for writing in! Your balances appear to be the discontinued crossbow style balance. These have been converted to use our Series 795 Channel Balances.

To confirm that these balances will be a situatable replacement, you'll need to obtain a few measurements from your existing balances. These include the length of an undamaged balance, the diameter of the balance channel/tube. This measurement should be 1/2". However, if it is 3/8", please let me know. This will need to be a different balance assembly.

You will also need to obtain the width of the bottom T-shaped attachment (it will either be 1" or 1-1/4" across the bottom of the T shape) as well as the exact weight of the window to select the correct stamp option.
