Window channel balance 28-3

Question

I need to replace both of my up/down window channel balance. I do not know the manufacturer of the window but it's about 20 years old. Also, the windows did not have the take out clips; Is that normal to not have them or perhaps the installer to remove them?

Hello!

It looks like you have our S395-29 channel balance with a 2830 stamp option. It's a bit odd that your window doesn't have a take out clip. Could it be missing, or did your window never have one in the first place? Do you at least have the slots where the take-out clips install? They should look like two small rectangular holes.
