Window channel balance replacments

Handy Person from Austin, TX
Alenco window. 2740 stamped in the metal back. 29" end to end with plastic tips installed. 21/32" metal channel width outside to outside. 1/2" inside. You'll have to let me know what other dimensions are relevant
I think I understand from YouTube videos how to replace and reinstall the channel balance components. I need help in making sure I have the right part. I will probably just order a couple to start and if they are the right ones, I have multiple windows that need the same fix and a houseful of old windows that may need it eventually, also.
If you have some advice on maintenance of the ones not yet broken, such as lubricating or cleaning, that would be great, too.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug, thanks for writing in. It looks like you have our Series 395. The 2740 stamp leads me to believe that your metal channel is 28" long (disregarding the plastic attachments). If that is the case, then you'll need the S395-28

Lubrication may help to give a boost to old balances, but in reality they are meant to last 10-15 years. After a certain point they do need to be replaced. That's where we come in!

Excellent. Thanks, Julia. They are 28" long channels.
I'll place an order, make sure they fit and order more or check back if there's any issues.
