After further investigation I have a Simonton windows, and have viewed your online video re: balance coil and I think those are the parts I need..I assume the coil cover fits in the window channel and allows easy opening of window. It is a single hung window

I'm not sure what video you might have seen, so I can't verify for sure whether your hardware is a match. However, looking at the design of your shoe I think the design is pretty close to our 15-228. You should review our dimensions to ensure that they are all in alignment before you buy anything, just to be safe.

Assuming this shoe is a match, then you have two choices of coil spring. Either the 3/8" deep Series 165 or the 1/2" deep Series 160. You'll have to measure the old spring to determine the best choice. You'll also need the stamp printed on the coil to verify the correct weight calibration.

If your old cover is in good condition, then it can be reused.

Thank you will order the above parts coil and pivot shoe but my cover is broken and I don't see a picture of coil support cover. This is what my cover looks like . I do have a 15-255 support but it is too big to fit in channel of window.

The cover you need will depend on which of the two spring sizes you end up using. Both the Series 165 and Series 160 use different sized covers, with multiple sizes depending on spring quantity. You can see those related on their respective store pages.

I need series 165 6 pound 3/8 coil. I didn't see anything close to what I previously had as a cover

I need 3/8 coil series 165 6 pounds.. I need a coil support cover as my original is damaged. I got a 12-255 support but it is too wide for the window channel. I have not seen anything in parts I can use. Suggestions?

If you're using the Series 165 spring, and assuming you have two springs per side, then you'd want the 15-204. This is explicitly designed to work with the hardware we've been discussing.

When installing these, remember to put the cover in with the rest of the assembly in the cutout at the top of the channel. It all has to go in together at the same time. The video below will show you what I mean.
