Thanks for reaching out to us! The part you are looking to replace is the coil balance pivot shoe. Yours appears to be an old Simonton shoe which is no longer made. The good news is we have two options that could possibly work to replace your existing hardware.
We typically suggest replacing this shoe with the 15-192 CertainTeed Pivot Shoe but you may need to shave down the aligners on the shoe to install it into the window track. We have received feedback from customers that shaving them down has not worked. That said, take a look over the dimensions to confirm that this shoe would be a fit.
This shoe is compatible with the Series 170 Coil Balance. To determine the correct spring for your assembly, you'll need to look for any stamps/markings on the metal. The compatible cover is likely to be 15-156 CertainTeed Lance Spring Cover used along with the 15-157 Balance Drum. Keep in mind, your existing pivot bar is not likely to be compatible with this replacement pivot shoe. If you are not sure, I'll need to see a photo of it as well.
We are now recommending the 15-259 Coil Balance Pivot Shoe and the Series 159 Coil Balance. You would also need to replace the pivot bar with the 26-083 since your existing pivot bar wouldn't be compatible with the 15-259 shoe.
