Window does not stay open

Thanks for writing in. See our 15-180 Pivot Shoe. I believe this is the shoe you have, but compare it with your old hardware to be certain. This pivot shoe is compatible with our Series 190 Coil Springs. You'll need to look for stamp codes on the coil springs to know what spring weights you need. If you're uncertain, give us the exact weight of your window sash, and we'll work out what you need. For information on how to remove your coil balance system from the window, see the video below.

Great. Our S190-640 should work. This holds up a sash weight of 6 pounds. So you will want to use 2 of the S190-640 (for a total of 4 all together) on each side to be able to hold up a sash weight of 24 pounds.
