The white plastic part is called a pivot shoe. However, these have nothing to do with keeping the window up. If your spiral balance disconnected from it, odds are it unwound a little. Spiral balances are unique in that you can turn the spiral shaped rod to give it tension. You can use a tool like our 75-006 to give it 2 or 3 turns. That should give it back some tension and allow your windows to work properly. See the media guides below for more information. |
