Window lifting slids

Question

I have several of these jeld wen Windows that the slide guides for the sides that help keep the window up and assist in lifting the window. The plastic has deteriorated that holds the spring and they say they are obsolete. Are there any old parts left like these?

Hello, thank you for posting,

Your windows use an older crossbow balance that is no longer made. As long as the diameter of the original spring is a 1/2" diameter, you should be able to convert to the Series 795 channel balance. Please review the step by step video that details the conversion and additional parts needed.
