Hello!
I have seven older vinyl windows that all have the same problem. All of the balance rods are under tension, but the shoes that slide in in the tracks do not move. I can't get to to move in any direction and I can't figure out how to remove them from the frame. Also every one of the metal parts that attach to the bottom corners of the sashes is broken. I'm hoping you guys might have that trim piece as well. I'm a contractor and have some experience with this stuff but I've never seen this setup.

Parts identification would be great! Also, any kind of resource you could point me towards to help me understand this setup would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

It looks like the window uses a version of the S751 channel balance but we would need to see the knife lock shoe removed from the jamb liner to determine if it matches the 15-014 used with the stock version of this balance or if it would need to be customer ordered. We would also need to see the metal channel, including the top that attaches to the window jamb. We'll also need to know the exact length and any numbers stamped on the channel.

As for the pivots, the 26-150 is commonly used with this type of balance but it is not an exact match for your part. You would need to locate an intact version from one of your windows to compare to the specifications below.

Unfortunately, we do not carry any kind of window trim, which would be specific to the manufacturer. I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this part of your repair but please let us know if you have any other questions.
