Window parts for "Alliance" window

Handy Person from Olathe, KS
I have been told by a window company that my windows are manufactured by Heartland but the only words on them are Alliance. I mostly need new balance covers although I have one window that all of the coils had to be pulled out because they got so messed up. I also need a few tilt window latches.

The coil is 1 cm wide and the only marking on it is "HL". The channel in the window for the coils is about 1 3/8" wide. Each side has two identical covers but the bottom one has 2 coils and the top one only has a coil in the bottom half.

I believe I can help. Most Alliance windows used our 26-243 and 26-244 top tilt latches. I believe your old pivot shoe could be our 15-175, which can use the S152-8 coil spring. You should go over our pictures and dimensions to confirm. Your covers are not available from the spring manufacturer, but they suggest the 15-150D for the bottom sash. The problem with the new cover is that the top tilt latches won't pass over it, so you will need to install it just below the closed position of the top tilt latch along the window channel. This will prevent the covers from interfering with tilt latch function. Let us know if you have further questions.
