Can you show us pictures of the balance in question out of the window? We need to see the nylon attachments at either end to confirm what kind of balance you have. Many thanks.

Hi Mark. I'm sorry, but I really can't make out the nylon attachments in these photos. These pieces differ in very specific details that can only be seen up close. For instance, the Series 380 and Series 385 balances have winged attachments, whereas the Series 390 and Series 351 do not. Meanwhile, the Series 395 only has wings on the top, while the Series 350 just has wings on the bottom. And this is just one specific difference we need to consider! What's more, sometimes the balance has a unique configuration that can only be seen up close, which results in a balance needing to be custom made. Long story short, I'm afraid that without closer pictures, I can't tell you much more other than we're working with a non-tilt channel balance, probably one of the series I mentioned above, that is 30" long and will need a 2950 stamp option. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I still can't really make out the bottom nylon attachment in these photos; I can't be sure whether or not it has wings. It does look like the top nylon attachment has wings, so this leads me to believe that you're working with either the S380-30, S385-30, or S395-30. The only difference between these 3 balances is the bottom nylon shoe, so look them over and see what most closely matches your old hardware. You will need a stamp option of 2950.

That picture looks pretty clear. I still have no clue as to how to order this.
Is there some other company that sells these or are you the only one?
This is at a clients house. You need to make a better recomendation or ask someone else. It is a $10 part. Can't be this complicated.
I do not see any wings, please recomend that item #.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but unfortunately there is in fact a ton of variety between these non-tilt window channel balances. Just view our selection here. Each of these balances were specifically designed to accommodate a specific window track--some need wings to stay in place in the window track, while the 'depth' of the nylon shoe differs from balance to balance to ensure a snug fit against the window sash. Not any balance will work with any window, which is why we do our best to narrow down the right replacement. We've learned that its best to be safer than sorry when it comes to these balances. Now, the reason I suggested you look at the S380-30, S385-30, or S395-30 is because we see the top nylon attachment on your balance has wings sticking out to either side; but the picture showing your balance's nylon shoe is at such an angle that I can't say for sure. The bottom shoe in fact has no wings, then you're working with a S395-30 with a stamp option of 2950.
