Window stuck and won't open, missing tab

Question

Sliding Window won't open after being closed (with an audible click sound). Normally has a tab that is pulled outwards, like in picture 3. But for the closed window, the tab fell out a while ago and can't find it anymore. Appears to be spring-loaded and tried to manually open it by inserting a screwdriver to depress it but couldn't manage it.
