Windows edge weather stripping and 1 window crank.

A home owner from King of Prussia pa says:
Weather stripping is just dry rotting and it just fits into a slot in the window. The crank works until you get to the point of closing the window all the way.It looks like the gears are just above catching at the end so you can crank the window shut. Thanks Marty

This operator looks like either our 39-253LB or 39-438B, depending on the appendages at the end of the link arms. For the seal, can you show us a clearer picture of its end profile? From there, we'll do our best to help.

A home owner from King of Prussia pa says:
The thin edge goes into the window edge slot. It just slides into the groove. They are coming off my windows because they are dry rotting. I did send a picture before of the groove in the window.

Seeing the groove doesn't tell us much. I'm afraid these photos also don't narrow down the list of possibilities. The only way we can match this up to something in our inventory is to see the end profile. The video below may help explain exactly what we need to see.

Please also make sure the sample you show us is as undamaged as possible. I know it will be difficult since yours is so brittle but if any pieces are torn off or deteriorated away then we can't help. Please try your best.

Thank you, that's perfect. Start by looking at our 58-056E. This is very similar to the seal you show in your photos in terms of design, but I have one major concern, which is size. The 58-056E is made to work on doors, not windows, so I worry it may be too big. Refer to the dimensions below to confirm.

If it does end up being too big, then maybe our 58-055 would be a better option. The shape is different but it has an angled base and is very commonly used on casement windows. I can tell you that it installs the same way, so as long as it's not too small then I think it would be a reasonable substitute.
