Windows were purchased from Hechingers Hardware approximately between 1984 & 1987

Question

I need to replace the balance hardware for my windows but cannot provide the brand or part numbers any longer as the store went out of business years ago.  I was not able to find parts that looked like the ones in my window.

Hello,

I remember Hechinger's Hardware and I'm sorry to hear that it closed. For your window parts, the pivot shoe resembles the 15-180, which is compatible with the S190-540 coil springs.

Also, you might need the 15-186 coil spring clip and 15-182 barrel as well. I suspect that your pivot bar might be bent in an "L" shape, which is an old style that is no longer made but was replaced with the 26-040. Take a look and see what you think. Thank you.
