Wood Window Parts

Contractor from Tyler, Texas
Good Afternoon,

I am in the quoting process of a Double hung Wood Window. Non- Tilt. House was built in 2005. He has Interior PVC Window Shutters he wouldn't let us remove just yet so I know this may be a long shot. I am trying to identify what I believe is a shoe. It Looks like the string hangs on both side of this shoe almost like a mast. It is also not like a typical shoe where you can get it out with a screw driver. The tracks are 1" width about 5/8" Deep. I need about 8 pcs total. Part in Photo IMG_0332 Blue Part

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. The balance shown here looks like the Series 751. The default shoe this balance comes with is the 15-014 but it appears yours uses the 15-233 which means this would have to be a custom order. Can you show us a clearer photo of the old shoe removed from the window? We'd like to determine if it has the same metal tab as shown below. Can you also confirm the length of the metal channel as well as the stamp printed on it? Could you tell us how the balance installs at the top of the window?

The overall length of the channel is 80 1/4" the Balance stamp says: DB 102 36 XHD I don't have a better picture just yet but I believe this is absolutely that part.

It sounds like you may be measuring the jamb liner. If the balance is stamped 36HD, the balance's metal channel should measure 37". However, you can place an order for the 15-233 on our website if all you need is the shoe.
