arcadia brand (or model?) sliding glass door handle from early 1980s.

Question

Latch is locking from gravity. Found part of what I assume is a broken spring to keep the latch up. I'd rather buy a whole new assembly that will fit this door then try and figure out how to attach a new spring. Hopefully you can point me to a better quality replacement handle and latch mechanism. The mounting holes are 4 7/8" apart.

This looks like an older style surface-mount handle set. We don't have anything exactly like it, but based on your hole spacing and photos I think you could use our 82-005. It works under the same principle, it's just that the latch hook is a different style. Since it comes with its own keeper that shouldn't be an issue. Look it over and let me know what you think.
