I am needing to order replacement parts for a window and want to make sure that I order the correct parts. I have attached pictures to assist in identifying the part.
I believe that I need a part 2740 window balance. Do I need to order 2 of them for each side of the window?
Any assistance with which part to order would be appreciated.

Hello, thanks for posting! It looks like you could have either our S380-28 or S385-28 with the 2740 stamp option. The difference between the Series 380 and the Series 385 lies in the depth of the shoe. Take a look at the picture below for more detail. Once you have determined this dimension you should be able to select the appropriate balance.
We do recommend that you replace both balances at the same time, as pairing a new and an old one can cause the new one to wear out faster. Best of luck with your repair, and as always please let us know if you have any further questions.
I recommend checking a different balance for that dimension. In the one you show, the shoe appears to be broken. You'll need to measure an undamaged shoe to identify the correct replacement.
