Thanks for your post! This window balance is similar to a few series we have. To narrow down the correct replacement match, I'll need to see the piece connecting the spring and the cord (string) in the middle of the balance.

Sorry about taking so long to get back to you on this request. I took photos of the middle cord to spring area as well as the top guide. THe top guide is critical as this is what locks the balance in place with the window.

This balance can be replaced with the S380-29 or the S385-29. To determine which of these is the correct replacement, you'll need to double check the measurement for the depth of your shoe.
Our 2830 stamp will support a sash weighing 16 to 23lbs.

Hi Jasmine. Thanx for the prompt ansswer. I appreciate it. I measured the shoe on a failed unit and it came out to 1 1/6 long. I am guessing the 1 3/32 shoe is the one I want. I can always file the shoe down if necessary,
My concern is with the top of the balance. Can you send drawings of the top as well? See photo attached for reference.,
Once we get this sorted out I will place teh order via the website.

Hi Pat,
The top that comes on the Series 380 and Series 385 balances is the is the 19-005. The dimensions for it can be viewed directly on the website. The slight difference in shape will not affect the installation.
The measurement for the shoe should be the the depth (front to back) not the height. You should not need to shave the shoe down before repairing the window.

We do not have an exact match for your guide but the 18-009 Top Sash Guide should work in its place. It does not have the tab on the sides but should not affect the installation either. Unfortunately, we can't be sure an exact replacement is made any longer.
