It looks as though I have a #15-175 coil balance shoe: however the spring has the letter B stamped on it. I would like to know what spring to use.The window is about 33x47 in. I also have another window that is about 31x32 in. but I have not looked at this window to see what is stamped on the spring. Please Help. Howard

Hey, Howard. Since you have a 15-175, you likely have a Series 152 coil spring, as well. I'm not sure what "B" could mean. Are you sure it isn't a "3," or even an "8?" If you still can't tell, please weigh your sash on a scale and tell me what you get. I would also like to know how many coil springs your sash uses in total.

In regards to weight for the windows I have:
Small window double sash, each sash weighs 10 lb's.
large window double sash each sash weighs 14 lbs.
There is only one spring for each side of the sash on each window.
I don't know the original mfg. of the windows but the part looks like, and all dimensions are the same, as your part # 15-175.
Please advise as to the springs I will need to order.
Thanks,
Howard

Thank you! Since you only have one spring per side on each window, I would recommend our S152-5 for the first window (each spring can hold 5 pounds, for a total of 10 pounds combined support), and the S152-7 for the second window (these can hold 7 pounds, 14 pounds combined). Let me know if you have any other questions!
