bottom guide for pella sliding screen door

Question

I have a proline door with a sliding screen door.  built our house in 1999.  I need to change the bottom guides on the screen door.  How do you get the spring held in place while putting the screw in the door?  I got new plastic plungers and springs, but I can't keep the spring depressed to install the screw.  I tried string and a rubber band but they didn't work
