broken balance

Home Owner from Roswell Ga 300076

Hello I am including the picture of the sticker on the window sash.  The piece on the other picture where the spring attaches has broken.  I am wondering if I can find the pulley assembly which is broken, so i dont have to remove the balance from the window.  I appreciate any feedback

Thanks

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

Thanks for reaching out to us! Once the pulley system has become damaged inside of the balance, the entire assembly needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, these were not made with the idea of repairing them in mind. That said, I'm not sure that the pieces are even sold separately.

I'll need to see photos of the top and bottom attachments from the balance as well as any that could possibly be left behind in the window channel to identify the replacements. I'll also need to know the stamp/marking from the metal channel.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.

Thanks for the additional photos. Your balance can be replaced with one of our Series 795 Channel Balances. Based on the stamp, I suspect it should be S795-25

If I am correct, you can likely use the 25D stamp option but I advise double checking that your sash weight falls between 22 to 25lbs. If the length of your channel differs, please me know.

You'll need to remove the balance to measurement the width of the shoe. Our balances come assembled with the 15-195 1-1/4" T-Lock Shoe. If yours measures 1" across the bottom, you'll need the 15-194 1" shoe, sold separately from the balance.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hello Jasmin,
I have checked and confirmed the weight of the window is 23 pounds, so I will go with the information you provided above.  I really appreciate your assistance.
