casement window crank

Handy Person
The worm gear came out of its pocket. If I have the worm gear facing me the long arm on the left side of the base has engraving that says Entry Gard and then TRUTH. The mounting base of this crank has a recessed area at the top with a number of 45179. There is a shorter arm that comes off of the same gear as the long arm and it has the letter (L) and a number 31538A. There is another arm attached to the arm with the (L) on it and it has a number 20810 engraved into it.

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this. Can you show us the entire operator in one shot? That will help us narrow down some options.

Thank you! Take a look at the 39-031 and 39-155. One of these looks like it could be what you need depending on the length of the link arm. Review the specifications and see which one matches up best.

Measuring my window crank mech it matches your dimensional picture above of the 39-031 part number.

How do I order?

Now that we know what crank assembly I have, what is the part number for the mirror image crank assembly?

Tonight I am going to look at all window crank assemblies in my house to see if there are any others that appear to be wearing and also need to be replaced.

The opposite-handed version of the 39-031 is the 39-032. You can place an order on our website or by calling (888) 991-1929!
