casement window mechanism corroded

Handy Person from North Carolina
Hi Swisco - attached photos show our bathroom casement window, with crank opener mechanism. Window was installed in 2001. I am not sure what brand was used by the contractor - maybe the label helps? I removed some corrosion a few years ago and spray-painted the mechanism (beige), but it looks like the mechanism needs replacement. If we are trying to get another 5-8 years out of the window, could we just replace the mechanism with one from your inventory? The window itself looks pretty good, but would it survive the hardware replacement? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello, thank you for posting,

It appears that your window uses either the 39-253RB or the 39-439B operator. The difference between these two styles is the guide at the end of the straight arm. Please review the video below to determine which style you need.

For a new bracket, see the 39-545 and 39-546. Match up the orientation of your original for a good fit!

Also see the 39-376 cover and handle.

For a new track, see the 39-528 if you have the 39-253RB operator or the 39-566 if you have the 39-439B operator.

Take a look and let me know if you have any additional questions!
