channel balance

A home owner from Lodi CA 95242 says:
block & tackle channel balance marked "27 4 NM" and "BSI" or "BSL" across the top.

this balance is near impossible to move along the slide. I need to replace it. would I have a choice of channel balances that would allow less force to be used opening (pulling up) the lower sash?

Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S380-28 or S385-28, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.
