To identify a channel balance, please use our channel balance guide. Once you identify your Series by matching your window type and balance top/shoe, you will need to know the length of the metal channel and the weight of the sash. The weight of the sash can be compared to the chart on the item webpage to identify the "stamp option."
In your particular case, a "28 6" stamp typically corresponds to a "2860" stamp option on a 29" balance. Double check your channel length, measuring only the metal portion. If the channel truly measures a full 30", check the stamp closely. Could it possibly say "29 6"? Let us know when you check both of those things, as it is important to get the stamp and length correct.
