channel balance off track

Question

the take out clips are "missing" (got disengaged) on both sides.
the left side is off. the right side is normal for the channel balances.
the window won't close all the way.
the sash is stuck.

Thanks for posting! If you need new take out clips, you can look at our 16-002. As for the left side being askew, I think maybe you're missing a top sash guide that could possibly screw into the side of the sash. I wouldn't be able to identify what it is without seeing what the top sash guide on the right looks like, which will probably require you to remove your window.

As a temporary fix for the missing take out clip, you could drill a temporary screw in around where the old take out clips would go. When you'd lift the sash, the balances would engage with the screw and you would then be able to remove the sash and take a better look at what you have and what you need.
