My channel balance is 28 inches. The ends seem to match, but want to know if 004 and 005 are different. Also, my stamp is 27 C.

Thanks for posting! Please take a look at the 15-004 and 15-005 channel balance shoes, and note their dimensions. As you can see, the 15-004 is 1-3/32" deep and the 15-005 is 1" deep. All you need to do is compare those dimensions to your own shoe. Which one more closely matches your own bottom attachment?

Need to know how to check the depth on the bottom shoes. Measured it across, measured 1 inch. I have 2 different channels with 2 diffrent stamps, one comes off a small kitchen window 27 C. The other from living room has 27 B. I'm sure I need the 15-005 bottom, just not sure what those stamps mean.

Thanks for getting back to us! You can see the depths labelled on the product images themselves. The 15-004's depth is 1-3/32", while the 15-005's is simply 1". Is that the dimension you're measuring?

The stamps are indicative of the balance's strength--that is, how heavy a window sash your balances can support. Do you know what Series balance you have? If so, I can correlate your stamps to one of our available options.

You would have to measure the shoe itself, not the channel. Please take a look at this example picture of the 15-004.

Please note the dimension that says 1-3/32". That is the dimension that you want to check on your own shoe. Is yours 1-3/32", or 1"?

I recently ordered 4 balances, which turned out to be the wrong ones. I sent in a sample last year. I measured the channel on my window and measures 1 inch. The numbers on one set were 27B. The others I forgot, which went in the living room larger windows. Please contact me

Thanks for posting! I'm sorry to hear the balances you ordered didn't work out for you. I see you ordered our S380-28, both with a 2720 and 2730 option. What didn't work with the balance? What do you mean exactly when you say that it measures 1"? Are you referring to the shoe?

Yes,the shoe. I measured channel the shoe slides up and down.

Is the depth of the shoe also 1"? Or is it 1-3/32" like the 15-004? How does the S380-28 that you ordered differ from your original balances? Could we maybe see some pictures of the two side by side for comparison?

I sent a sample with my last order. Only thing wrong with last ones was the bottom shoe didnt fit. Kitchen window (small) stamp was 27c and livingroom window (large) 27b. Mine is 1 inch Im thinking.

Well, the 1" 15-005 shoe is our smallest kind. If it was too big, there's not much else we can do. The only thing I can recommend is that you sand it down a little bit so that it can fit.
