channel/spring balance non-tilt window

Question

this is a large window - the moving panel is roughly 36x36?. One of the balances has broken hardware. The balance is 1/2 x 28 7/8. These are galvanized metal. There is a number stamped near the bottom, but it is hard to read 28D? followed by 3?

Also, what is the best lubrication to use on these balances?

Start by looking at our S380-29. This comes with our 19-005 top and 15-005 bottom, so as long as these match up you should be okay. For the option, I'd recommend our 2840. This usually corresponds to older "28D" stamps, but you can always weigh your sash to confirm.
