coil balance

Question

Hello, My coil balance broke into 3 sections. There are no clear markings as it is worn, but the end looks similar to the 152 series, and it is 1/2" wide. How do I determine the weight? I see a faint marking, but cannot determine what it is. Possibly 7K? Again, it is worn and very difficult to make out.

I agree that your hardware resembles our 15-177 pivot shoe and S152 coil springs. To determine the strength option, I would recommend weighing the sash that this hardware supports and dividing the weight by the total number of coils in the window, which will provide you with the correct strength option.
