Is there a simple way to find the coil balance series?

Quick Learner from wichita kansas
I have identified the weight of balance I need but don't know how to tell which model I need. Is there a simple way to find out without tearing the window apart? i have attached a couple of pictures. Thanks!

Hi,
This is just a guess because it is hard to tell without seeing the hardware removed or knowing any dimensions.
Take a look at SWISCO product code 15-186, Coil Balance Clip and 15-180, Coil Balance Shoe.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Some more information that may help....Do I need to replace the clip and shoe? We had the glass replaced and it is heavier that the old glass so now the sash won't stay up. I was thinking I could just replace the coil with a heavier one.

Yes, you can go to a heavier coil. Be sure to weigh your window sash on a scale and give us the weight in pounds. If your coil balance housings are not damaged, you may reuse them. Be sure to match up the coil balances online to your original coil balance.

That is my question, how do I match up the coil balance? Do I need to dissamble the balance? I was hoping maybe you could tell which one I need from the pictures I sent.

We need to see the tip of the balance. See the various coil balances we have on in our coil balance catalog section to see the differences between the series.

You will have to remove the housing from the window and take out the coil part of the balance.
