coil balance replacement part, cam

A quick learner from Wappingers NY says:
Trying to replace broken pivot balance shoe for a vinyl window. I ordered part 15-215 and all fits except the old broken cam has an internal slot that the pivot arm slides into and engages when I install the window and it locks into the cam. Is there a similar part that has a cam with a slot as the one in the picture. Thanks

Tom from SWISCO responded:

I'm afraid the 15-215 is only made one way. I don't know of any alternative design that has a different style cam.

Before I recommend anything, can you please show me a photo of the pivot bar?

Thank you! That would definitely explain it. Your old pivot bar is a little too big to be compatible with our 15-215. This pivot shoe is meant to work with pivot bars like our 26-398 and 26-405, whose tips are much skinnier than what you show here.

You could consider one of those products as a replacement, depending on hole spacing. You may also want to check to confirm that the 15-215 was, in fact, the right part to replace your old pivot shoe.
