To determine the spring strength needed for your balance assembly, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of your sash. Once you have the sash weight, you'll need to divide the weight by 2. For example, if you have a sash weight of 24lbs, you would need the S140-12.
Take a look over the dimensions and compare them to your existing hardware to confirm that these rare the right fit.
