crank handle replacement

Landlord from Newtown
Dear Paul, I have Caradco windows throughout my property. On several of them Crank Handle (39-114) and Truth Operator Cover fell apart, exposing mechanisms. Any chance I could go ahead and replace just these two, without buying Caradco Window Crank (39-156)? Many thanks for your help. Cheers, Vlad

Thanks for posting. If just the handle or cover broke, then yes, you could just replace the handle and cover with our 39-114 or 39-114L as well as the 39-107. However, the fact that both the cover and handle failed could be a sign that the gears are stripped. If the worm gear with the spline to which the handle attaches to has disconnected from the operator, this is a sure sign the entire operator has broken down and needs to be replaced. Let me know what you think, and if you need help confirming what operators you have, please show us pictures. Many thanks.

Dear Bob, I really appreciate your prompt and kind response. Both handles on one od my windows come loose when I attempt shutting the window, actually they ended up in my hands unscrewed. Please see pics and kindly suggest which operators I might need, and I will surely order them from your website.

Cheers,
Vlad

Hi Vlad, thanks for the pictures, that's perfect. See either our 39-031 and 39-032, or our 39-155 and 39-156. There are just slight differences in the measurement of the link arm with these two sets of operators, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best.
