I finally opened one of the windows and it seems that the pivot bar is missing on one side....

Hi there. We recognize this pivot shoe. It looks very similar to our 15-087 which uses coil springs. Unfortunately, I can not say the same for your pivot bar because it is still installed and it makes it difficult for us to see the "body" of the part. There is a possibility you may be able to use our 26-089 with 33-096 self-tapping screws. Take a closer look and get back to us with some thoughts.
