Hi Todd,

Thanks for writing in! Your balance shoe is the 15-111 Pivot Shoe which is used along with the 1/2" thick Series 160 Coil Balance. To determine which spring you need for your assembly, you'll need to take a look at the metal coils for any stamps/markings. If there aren't any on the coil itself, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the sash. Then you'll divide that number by (4) or the total number of coils in the window.

To replace the cover I suggest the 15-150D Coil Double Support. You may also need the 15-148 Bumper.

So I found the number 3 on the old coil balancers. There are 2 on each side of the window which makes sense because the window feels about 12 lbs. Since I am rebuilding the entire balance system on all the windows could I go back with a single coil system with 2 6lb. coils on each side? Or is it better to stick with the factory set up and do the dual coil system with the 3lb coils? Also if I order all the parts for the windows and the first one doesn't work can I return the rest if un opened?

Okay, great! I believe you should be fine with using just the single 6lb coil on each side. You'll just need to use the 15-150S single cover instead of the other.

Per our return policy, you can return any parts that are still in their original condition. Our full policy can be reviewed here.
